Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? -Isaiah 43:19 (The Message)
We are excited to announce God is doing a new thing in our community! We are planting two new expressions of The Park out of the North Parish: Oak Meadow Parish (NW Military just North of Wurzbach Pkwy.) and MacArthur Terrace Parish (Nacogdoches north of 410). Both of these neighborhoods are strategically located amidst the majority of people who attend the North Parish and will increase our ability to minister directly to our neighbors.
Will you join the launch team? When you sign up for a launch team, you are signing up to commit to gathering together over the summer with the other team members for prayer, fellowship, vision, momentum, and discovering what each person hopes to contribute.
Specifically, consider a commitment to prayer, service, gifts, and presence. You can sign up below to join the launch team!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 4th which will be our first Sunday in these two new neigborhoods. Oak Meadow will meet at 10:00 am and MacArthur will start at 5:00 pm with the goal to move to Sunday mornings as soon as possible.
- Pray for these two new expressions of The Park Community. Our vision is to see new churches spring up in neighborhoods all over SA, and to see each one in our community praying for their neighbors.
- Serve in either parish. As always volunteers are the key to The Park’s success. If you currently volunteer in the North Parish pray about continuing that work in either Oak Meadow Parish or MacArthur Terrace Parish.
- Give to either parish. Your financial support is the only way we can pay the bills. If you are currently giving please continue to do so. You can either keep it up as is, or you can distinguish a parish on your giving. If you have the ability to give a little more over the summer, that would be a huge help!
- Your Presence is key. Will you commit to one of these two new parishes? If you aren't quite sure what’s next, that’s okay you can indicate that below as well. If your want to meet up and talk more then contact Scott (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details on Oak Meadow Parish and Chris (email@example.com) for more details on MacArthur Terrace Parish.
